A month ago my wife, Diana, and I were able to attend the Best Buddies Gala, held in the Galleria at BCE Place. We sat at a table sponsored by your company, and I wanted to take this opportunity to commend Magna International and thank you sincerely for your generosity to the Best Buddies program. It allowed us to attend a wonder function that we could not otherwise have afforded.

Being at the Gala on that evening was important to us because our daughter, Katie McGregor, and her Best Buddy, Umberto di Giovanni, were presented with the Spirit of Friendship Award during the festivities that evening. It was important to be with them and to witness our daughter’s special moment.

I am certain that your company must know what a great organization Best Buddies is. Through Katie, we have been privileged to meet some outstanding young people both buddies and staff! We were extremely impressed with all of them. I know that Katie has put a huge amount of effort into the organization over the 3 years of her involvement with the McGill Chapter, but I also know that she has received back at least as much satisfaction and reward from her contact with all of the buddies - both the university students and the developmentally delayed people. She has begun 4th year at McGill, where she has, in fact, taken on the duties of Campus Coordinator, and I know she’d like to see the number of buddy pairs in the McGill Chapter increase beyond the 85 pairs they had last year!

We really appreciate that Best Buddies has allowed our daughter to do good work and has challenged her to develop and extend her skills in many areas. What more could a parent ask?

Once again, thank you very much. Your support of Best Buddies has made a difference in the lives of our family. I hope Magna International will continue to support this excellent organization.
