We have been Buddies since my first year at Queen’s (so almost 3 years) and we hit it off right away. We both love to go to the theatre, shopping, out for dinner, or to the movies. We have also done other neat things like going to the Santa Claus parade and once we went the “Sound of Music “sing along. Her host family is really nice and are always willing to help out with driving and making plans.

Janice is a very caring person and she likes to show it by bringing me flowers or chocolates on special occasions, and this year she nominated me for Volunteer of the year at Ongwanada here in Kingston. 

We also had our picture in that article about Best Buddies that was in the Toronto Star last year. I am staying in Kingston this summer so we are going to get to hang out for another couple of months, but I am really going to miss her when I leave. 

Luckily she loves postcards so I’ll be sure to keep in touch.
