March is Best Buddies Month and is a chance to spread the meaning of friendship and the Best Buddies mission in your community.
March is the time of year when our chapters across the country celebrate Best Buddies and the difference the program makes in the lives of its participants. During Best Buddies Month we also work to spread the word about Best Buddies to friends, family, co-workers and local community members to allow our program to reach even more individuals across Canada.
We are encouraging all of our chapters nationwide to participate in the month long celebration. How and when your chapter celebrates is up to you. Here are some suggestions to get you started: getting some purple ribbons and having chapter members wear them throughout the month; planning a special group event to celebrate all the awesome friendships in the chapter; encourage chapter members wrote an article of how Best Buddies changed their lives for their local paper.
These are just some of the ways that chapters have celebrated Best Buddies Month and we encourage all our chapters to get involved this year. Share your ideas with us by emailing your stories and photos to your program manager. See what else is happening for Best Buddies month!
