We received this email from a teacher at Francis Libermann Catholic High School in Toronto

I'm Vivian Mohareb, one of 2 new teachers at Francis Libermann teaching the DD/ME classes.

Yesterday was my first true interaction with Best Buddies students who came to celebrate the Halloween with our students. It was an amazing and successful social interaction. I really appreciate the efforts of all the members specially their representative; Chelsie Sentiago. She is a very respectful and cooperative student.

 Before the celebration, Chelsie came on my request to see my 6 students who are nonverbal with low functioning skills. We discussed their different needs and possible responses. Then the kitchen area was decorated and every thing was prepared well.

What really impressed me that the Best Buddies didn't ignore any of the kids even if some couldn't respond to the dancing and singing.

That was really a very happy day for me as a teacher who really wants to connect the students to the real world around.
